Couldn't love them any more!

Mt Olympus

Nathan was just a few months old last time we visited Mt Olympus theme park in the Wisc. Dells.  Last time he just got to watch Daddy and Cody ride the rides, so he was thrilled to get in on the action.  His favorite by far was the little tikes roller coaster, he rode it at least 5 times.  Logan's favorite was the train ride, which I had the pleasure of riding eight times in a row ;) He loved it and would cry every time it would come to an end. 

Hotel life

This past month we have been tagging along with Daddy to his farm shows, celebrating the last little bit of summer freedom before fall schedules hit.  The boys so enjoy spending the night in a new place.  Their favorites seem to be running down the long hallways, riding the elevator, the hotel pools, the morning waffles and sugary cereals they would never get at home... and topping the list, being able to jump on the beds! Really, what's not to love about hotel life ;-)

A trip to the Dairy

Yesterday Daddy took the boys to the dairy to see all the baby cows.  Nathan of course ran right up to them and started petting them and talking to them.  Logan wasn't quite so sure and clung to Dad pretty tight.  When Mick put him down next to the gate he cried and ran to me.  Silly Logan!!  He did however find his cup of tea when it was time to get the tractor hooked up, no way was he letting Dad drive that tractor without him!

Devil's Lake Hike

We have traveled with Daddy to Wisconsin this week for the midwest manure expo.  Just a half hour away from all the hussle and bussel of the Wisconsin Dells, but we found our entertainment today in the quite solidtude of the area's beautiful hiking trails.  Nathan was quite a little hiker, we went nearly two miles before I heard anything about being tired or needing a break.  He was busy climbing nearby rocks, fallen trees, and of course chasing any unexpecting squirels that were nearby.  Logan also seemed to enjoy the hike, although he was unsure of riding in the pack at first.

We have been lucky enought to tag along with Daddy to a farm show in Minnesota.  If there is one thing we can always scout out it is the local park!  Always lots of fun and FREE!!!

Big Boy Haircut

Logan's last and only haircut was last september (nearly a year ago!), so it was time for a trim! - Don't worry Grandpa & Grandma Z, there are still a few curls in the back ;-)

I tell Nathan and Logan I will always call them my babies, even when they are 30.  Nathan understandably does not like this.  He has instructed me to say my big boy and my toddler, I guess I am safe with my title until he learns to read :)

Nathan and I had the following conversation yesterday...

Nathan: Saws are just for wood aren't they?
Me: Yes
Nathan: They don't have saws for people do they?
Me: No!  ... Well I guess so, ... kind of ...  Doctors use knives sometimes.  Mommy's doctor used a knife to open my  tummy up and get Logan out.  Remember Mommy's tummy was sore when she came home from the hospital.
Nathan: Yes.  ( He begins holding his stomach, with a concerned look on his face, thinking everything through.)  BUT ... I don't have to get cut because I'm a boy!! My wife though, she will have too!

Fun Morning

We spent this morning in Ames with Great Grandma Johnson. The boys had so much fun playing with her. Nathan's favorite game while we are there is always putting things down her laundry shoot on the 3rd floor and then running down to the basement and finding it in the laundry room. He gets such a kick out of it! We also went for a swim in Grandma's pool before we headed for lunch. It was a great morning! Nothing like going to Grandma's house!
