Nathan has been obsessed with the idea of having glasses lately. Even pretending not to be able to see in hopes he would get glasses. Tonight Grandpa Zoske took the lenses out of an old pair of his and gave them to Nate...instant Happiness for this 6 year old!

The soccer season started out a little rocky with Nathan learning how to play on a team and learning what competition is all about for the first time, but he is getting the hang of it and really enjoying it.  He even scored his first goal at last weekend's game!  So proud of him! Go Strikers!

Sharing Bag

Nathan was very excited to bring home the sharing bag the first day of preschool.  Having the sharing bag is something he always looks forward to.  He decided to take his Batman Ballistic Hotweel car.  He was so proud to take it and show all his friends how it is a ball and a car. 

1st Day of Preschool

Nathan was so excited to start his second year of preschool! He couldn't wait to see all his teachers and friends!! He was also very excited to wear his new batman shirt!

Outdoor Movie Night

On Friday we hosted a neighboor hood outdoor movie night! A great idea we got from our cousins in Iowa City (thanks Klitgaards!) We ended up with a great weather, with several movie goers even wearing jackets! Nathan was very excited to have some of his playmates over.  The movie we choose was Finding Nemo.  Nathan was so excited to deliver his invitations and prepare for the special event!

Tractors

The boys have been lucky enough to inherit Daddy's farm toys and it seems like lately they have been working double duty.  Logan is thrilled to finally be able to hook up his own equipment such as wagons etc.

Boys Day

We were lucky enough to have the mannetter cousins come spend the day with us a few weeks ago when their sitter took the day off.  The boys had such a fun day together! We even managed to get everyone down for a nap, except for Levi because he of course is much too old to take a nap (love to you my sweet little man ;) )What a fun day!

Nathan enjoyed playing blast ball again this year.  It was fun to watch him be a part of a team and enjoy time spent with his team mates.

Happy 5th Birthday Nathan!

Today we started the day celebrating Nathan's birthday with his favorite breakfast, pancakes! Five pancakes, of course! Then we headed to Ames to Reiman Gardens to check out the lego exhibit and the butterfly garden.  We then made a special trip to Target so he could pick out special birthday toy from Mommy.  Nathan picked out a Hot Wheels toy called "Graveyard barnyard Bash".  Then it was off to Story City to meet Grandma Britson for a special birthday lunch and ride the Carosel.  The day was finished by letting Nathan pick his favorite meal for supper.  He picked grilled cheese sandwhiches! What a fun day!

Dear Nathan,
 It dosen't seem possible that it has been five years since I got my first glimpse of you and got to snuggle with you.  You are growing so fast and becoming such a little man! I love every minute we spend together and I will always cherish all the fun times we share.  Happy 5th Birthday!!

Nathan's 5th bday Party (Britson Side)

Nathan was thrilled to have all his cousins come to help him celebrate his birthday ( and of course Grandpa and Grandmas too!). He had a transformer rescue bot themed party.  We had such a fun day!

Nathan's 5th bday Party (Zoske Side)

After watching an episode of Max and Ruby where they have a suprise party for Ruby Nathan had been saying he wants a suprise party over and over again. Grandma and Grandpa Zoske offered to host a suprise party for Nathan, his reaction when we walked in for the party was priceless!

As you can see from this video Nathan had his heart set on a brand new buzz light year for his birthday! It was fun to see him so excited as he opened his presents to find buzz inside :)

Nathan had his second burn at the beginging of the summer after he touched a hot fire fork.  He was enjoying showing and telling everyone about his injury ;) What a bandage!
